GG Gil & González · Atelier & Studio

Art as interior architecture.

Manuel M. Gil and Alberto M. González are the co-founders of Gil & González. We bring together two complementary practices: monumental sculpture in stone, bronze, and forged metal, with spatial art curation, painting, and digital systems. We do not view art as a cosmetic embellishment, but as a structural pillar of architecture: pieces that dialogue with the room and define its soul.

Manuel M. Gil

Resident Sculptor, Master of the Atelier & Co-Founder

Manuel has devoted more than four decades to master sculpture. His practice encompasses direct carving in Campaspero limestone and Macael marble, lost-wax solid bronze foundry, and the hot-forging of monumental equestrian sculptures and architectural steel structures.

With over 38 monumental sculptures installed across civic spaces, corporate headquarters, and private collections, Manuel conceives each work from an architectural standpoint: pieces possessing sovereign weight and presence, created to live in enduring silence with the building.

“Stone and metal already harbor their own form and gravity long before I touch them. My craft is to listen to the material and carve away what is superfluous so it may converse with the building.”

At Gil & González, Manuel personally oversees every stage: from initial sketches and 1:10 scale models to floor structural load distribution calculations, load-spreading plinths, and AISI 316 stainless steel site anchorages, collaborating closely with architects and structural engineers.

Alberto M. González

Visual & Digital Artist, Spatial Curator & Co-Founder

Alberto represents the third generation of a family dedicated to craft, spatial balance, and fine materials. Grandson of the master cabinetmaker and artist Ángel González and son of an interior decorator, he grew up in the workshop among architectural plans and noble woods. As a visual and digital artist, he investigates large-format contemporary painting, sculpture, and generative media.

Founder and Director of digital design and user experience consultancy UX Ultimate, Alberto pairs this three-generation legacy with his formal training in London at the internationally renowned University of the Arts London (UAL). He has led comprehensive art direction programs for major corporations, landmark headquarters, and financial institutions across Spain and the United Kingdom.

“An artwork in a luxury hotel or corporate headquarters is never passive decoration: it is the tactile memory and visual narrative that visitors carry with them indefinitely.”

His methodology bridges artistic sensitivity with technological precision, integrating openBIM workflows (IFC and Revit families), technical compliance, and real-time transparent budgeting for international architecture practices and developers.

Studio Philosophy

The Atelier Manifesto

Four foundational convictions guiding every intervention, acquisition, and chisel blow at Gil & González.

01

Authentic Noble Matter

Flame-patinated solid bronze, Campaspero limestone, honed Roman travertine, washed Belgian linen, and solid hardwoods. We strictly renounce synthetic composites, polyester resins, or faux finishes.

02

Architectural Scale & Gravity

Every sculptural and pictorial piece is engineered around ceiling heights, overhead natural lighting, and structural slab bearing capacity (loads up to 6.2 kN/sq m and AISI 316 stainless steel chemical anchorages).

03

B2B Rigor & BIM Methodology

We speak the technical language of architects and structural engineers: parametric family modeling in IFC 4.3 and Revit at LOD 350-400, real-time itemized budgets, and contractual payment schedules (40/40/20).

04

Authorship & Certified Heritage

Every original artwork by Manuel M. Gil or curated artist is delivered with a notarized certificate of authorship, foundry registry, 10-year maintenance protocol, and territorial exclusivity guarantee.
